I Propose

I propose that on the same second of the same minute of the same hour of the same day of the same month of the same year that everyone on our planet capable of thought and expression think the same thought for exactly one second;

Peace.

The concentrated energy of this one thought could transcend all other thoughts and energy on this planet and for that one second of that one minute of that one hour of that one day of that one month of that one year there could be;

Peace.

I am afraid to think of the consequence of this mass of thought energy focused on one particular thought at precisely the exact time;

Peace.

It has been proven that with enough physical violence we can break matter into its smallest particles and create massive amounts of energy.  Have we not all suffered enough physical violence to create the strongest energy ever known. By focusing our concentrated thoughts to the smallest particle of matter that our collective consciences can comprehend maybe we can create even greater energy;

Peace.

Mind over matter. It's really very simple, but so difficult to achieve.

Peace.

This is the message to you that I leave.

Peace.

All thinking the same thing at the same time.

Peace.

Holy Underwear

Some say a man is measured
by the under garment he dons
Defined by the condition
of the undies he puts on

When reaching for drawers
          choose unconsecrated
I was told by someone
          to whom I'm  related

There could be a blowout
          from bologna and stout
But likely from age
why your drawers are so sage

Maybe the chair which you sit
          caused an unsightly split
Or your ass is too huge
for the size that you choose

Chewed by a wiener
          or Clorox and cleaners
Could be crotch less or cool
          from hands playing pool

For god's sake wear undies
          minus perforation or cleave
A nurse, a doctor or worse
          Saint Peter might see

That your skivvies
          are most heavenly...

I Just Dont Know

I just don't know

I went outside and smoked a big fat joint

Then I was at the bar and had a few drinks

So if you have anything important to ask

I just don't know

And..

If its real important it better wait

until tomorrow

Friends (pt. 4)

To understand the story of reuben and Shorty
you must realize the
importance of the relationship between them
they were not friends of the acquaintance type,
traveling partners, lovers, or kinship
they were friends of the bonded type, blood brothers, soul mates,
joined at the hip type
like a uni-brow joined above the nose
you could shave them apart
but they would always grow back together
if you were to make comparisons
the Sun and Moon might come to mind
Shorty was like the sun, big, bright, strong, a literal bull in a china shop
clumsy but not awkward he made his presence known
with massive head and body gestures (and he drooled a lot)
he was a gentle giant, but a fierce warrior if threatened
reuben was like the moon, dark, sleek, fast, and graceful
he leapt boundlessly through life
(and through a few ladies windows at night)
his sharp senses and thirst for action
took him on many adventures
of which Shorty and I would have to follow
his clues and track him down
for reuben also had a propensity for finding trouble...
we had many places that we called home and reuben would travel
between them at his own convenience
not bothering to tell anyone when or where
he was going
with his speed it was difficult to keep up with him
especially if Daddy Barbeque was cooking (more on Daddy later) all
the way on the other side of town
The one thing that reuben and Shorty did have in common
was that they were both always hungry
I would sometimes find them together at McDonalds
begging handouts from parked cars
like the birds you see chasing french fries
preying on the people who looked like
they had a conscience or the ones who
seemed as if they gave a squat
about life in general
the two of them made quite a spectacle,
humorous to most, but it was not funny to me
the problem was neither one of them
ever had any money
and they had no real job skills or desire to work

but I always shared what I had with them
for we were friends...
