Mom

 

I met my mother

on a warm summer day in June

 

I don’t remember anything

about those first few days,

but I’m sure that she did

 

She was one the only person

who would always love me

no matter what dumb shit

I did….

 

When I was young

I took advantage of that love

As I got older

she took advantage of it

 

Her love brought me back

from many dark places

and still inspires me

to this day

 

On this day that we honor

our mothers,

much love and peace...
