April Shower

I feel solitude,

in this quiet place where I go to escape the madness of life.
The warmth and the sound of falling water
let’s my mind stop for a moment and relax.
The only sound that I hear is water splashing on and around me
as it hits the top of my head,
runs along my back, and down my legs.
I don’t feel anger or hate, and there is no arguing or yelling.
As I run my fingers through my hair,
fear, doubt, and insecurity are washed away.
My mind drifts to thoughts of days gone and days yet to be,
I softly say the words “I love you”, hoping that maybe you can hear me.
There is a moment of peace,
tranquility, and serenity, as warm spring rain embraces my body and soul.

Let your mind wander, and feel the love of an April shower.
