Not much new to report, well there are, but some things can wait until later. For now it is starting to turn chilly at night, seems like after Labor Day the season changes like clockwork, wont be long until it gets dark at 5:00 and too cold to swim without a wet suit. I need to get my wetsuit, tank, and regulator for scuba diving since I am a certified diver. Not sure that you can see anything in this water below a few feet but might be able to in shallows. It would probably be a good idea to take a refresher course since it has been quite a few years since my last dive.
Anyway, here's a beautiful sunrise shot on a cloudy day last week. The moon and a star are visible. I am not sure what the star is, I looked it up and it could be Venus, Mars, Jupiter, or a star called Sirius.
The fig tree in the yard is full of figs and I have to get to them before the birds (and the neighbors). I was able to pick a couple of pounds of fruit, enough to make some jam. It tastes like fig flavored sugar...
If you have never tried fresh figs do yourself a favor and try them, they are the most delicious fruit on the planet, they taste like pure sweetness when they are ripe and fresh picked. Some of these are still green, but I picked them and cooked them down anyway since I needed enough for the recipe.
Okay, it's football season so I thought I would post a picture of my toolbox where I keep my collection of Washington Redskins magnets. Since I could not put them on the new refrigerator back at home this is where they ended up. I like them here better anyway, here with me where they belong. A carpenters toolbox is one of his or hers most prized processions and the source of being able to provide a living for ones self. This box goes everywhere with me wherever I call home. I am a firm believer that if a person has a truck, tools, and the knowledge to use them he/she will always be able to find work and provide for their self. I am aware of the controversy with the team name, and apologize if I offend anyone.
Well, see you later, working on new songs as I write this, will share some soon.
As always...Much love and peace. Good thoughts for those who need them.
We are all connected, keep the energy positive.
Hug someone and tell them that you love them.
