Love at Sunrise
Sunrise makes a
good lover whispering
golden propositions
on a melancholic morn.
The
horizon but a thread separating the earth and sky,
with white
capped waves draped like linen sheets.
A bold silhouette
awakens wrapped in silence,
unfolding
layers of orange and blue,
while
other times revealing only shades of gray.
Promises
kept, quietly sitting along the river’s bed,
as gilded
lips softly caress the wind, and
innocence becomes
a faded memory.
