Baltimore

Outside my window
there is a young man

standing on the hood of a car

Beating in the windshield
with a hammer

He could be off sitting in a bar

Instead now they are calling in
the National Guard

This country was built by dissidents

opposing tyranny on our soil
so that this young man and others like him

could become our President....

This is a frightening reminder
for everyone to see

and to always be aware

Keep pushing people around
and don't give back

could become our worst fucking nightmare....
