You Give Me What I Need

Some things in life are rare.
 

 

There is something very special

about a person

who can tell you

what they like about you.

What they see in you,

how they feel about you.

They build you up

and make you feel

that you have value.

Isn’t that what we all want?

Don’t we all want to feel

as if we are important to someone?

To be loved, and cared about

is a need that we all share

There is something special

about a man or woman

who can give you

what you need…

 

Someone who can make you

feel good about yourself,

to see past the mundane and trivial

and find the beauty

and the love inside us.

We look for that in our friends,

lovers, and soul mates.

To be fortunate enough to find it

is very rare.

Some people never find it

and spend a lifetime searching.

When you find that person

hold onto them,

don’t let them go,

you may never find them again.

Cherish them, love them,

build a relationship,

don’t deny them, don’t abuse them,

embrace them and let the beauty

of their feelings surround you.


We are not talking about gods love

or worship here.

We are not talking about the

unconditional love of a parent or child.

We are not talking about self love

for preservation and survival.

We are talking about

look into your eyes,

feel your heart beat,

hear your voice

love here.
